Any intervention to help people with autism has to target relationships with other people. Good applied behavior analysis (ABA) targets relationships with other people most of the time, maybe except only when targets are independent individual activities for example. And still, for teaching these skills, there is a teacher who either instructs of presents consequences, and is there to somehow manage the teaching opportunity. Maybe with a major or a minor explicit participation in each target, depending on the context in which the skills is to be exhibited. And, more explicitly, social skills are always targeted in any good curriculum and behavioral interventions are not exception.

Qualquer intervenção para ajudar pessoas com autismo tem que enfatizar relações com outras pessoas. Boa análise aplicada do comportamento (AAC ou ABA) faz isso quase o tempo todo, exceto talvez e apenas quando o objetivo é a aquisição ou fortalecimento de atividades independentes individuais for exemplo. E ainda assim, para ensinar essas habilidades, tem um professor (não no uso formal, mas genérico de quem implementa a intervenção) que apresenta instruções ou consequências, e está lá para lidar com a oportunidade de aprendizagem. Talvez com maior ou menor participação explícita em cada atividade, a depender do contexto em que se espera que a habilidade seja exibida. E, explicitamente, habilidades sociais também são ensinadas em qualquer bom currículum e intervenções comportamentais não são exceção.
