I cannot recommend this book because I have not read it and it has not been recommended to me by someone I trust for such recommendations. However, it is a suggestion for readers interested in the topic, which is staggeringly lacking in the literature, educational, scientific, or literary so to speak. I suggest the book upon coming across a blatantly honest blog post by the co-author, Laura Shumaker, about her son, in which she also mentions renowned graduate of Rutgers University, president of the Organization for Autism Research, Dr. Peter Gerhardt, as a reference. The blog post is an excerpt from her book.
